It enraptures you with said author’s writing style, prose, and depth of those first characters. I think there’s almost always something to be said about a first novel you read by a certain author-it sets the pace. I’ll admit that, while this novel was epic in a way I did not expect, it didn’t quite beat A Far Wilder Magic.
